Under 5’s

For children aged from 3 years. Your child is accompanied in the water by a qualified swimming instructor, whilst you watch from the poolside. The lessons are structured with the aid of toys, games and songs.  We work towards Swim England’s duckling award scheme.  They give the child more independence and start to build their confidence in water. These Awards are used to slowly build up the child ready for the Learn to Swim Framework Stages 1-7

Swim England stage 1-7.

These lessons are taught using the National Standard for Teaching Swimming.  The Learn to Swim 1-7 Awards are divided into progressive stages, they make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.  This programme provides stages which takes your child from non-swimmer to advanced, developing a range of strokes and skills.  They are designed to reward your child for their development of the essential aquatic skills they need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.

Private Lessons

We offer 30-minute private lessons delivered as 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1.  These 30 minute classes can be booked as a one off or as a regular weekly class. We teach to the same award scheme as the group lessons, dependant on swimmers age and ability. We pride ourselves on offering flexible options for private lessons whether you would like a one off or a permeant slot. We appreciate that there is often specific need for a private lessons and often teach these in a quieter environment with fewer swimmers in the pool.
